Elemental Airships
Okay here's what I'm thinking (open to C&C):
* Docking stations are basically fast charging stations for airships. They operate by creating a small force intrusion zone around the docked ship(s) core with a particular other plane. Most Lyrander docking stations only service Air and Fire ships since they generally don't use other types of elementals in their rings.
* Pirate stations do exist but are smaller (can only dock one or two ships at a time). Possibly some semi-mobile ones that can be taken down or caravanned to a new location to keep from being discovered by Lysander Privateers. Maybe difficult to dock other ships.
* Boat hulled ships can charge while floating in the water (if they have a Water elemental ring) but it's really slow and maybe can't even 'wake' the elemental until it's fully rested.
* Ships with a Fernian elemental can charge while unnervingly near to volcanoes.
* Air Elemental ships charge just being in sharn.
- In an emergency with no access to a docking station or intrusion zone a ship could land allowing the elemental core to slowly charge. Most ships are boat shaped so they can land on water without significant hull damage.
Reputation with Lyrander - How do they feel towards independent airships? Probably not keen - but I'd imagine they'd still allow docking (maybe at an exorbitant rate) to non Lyrander ships of good reputation. Other airship construction is probably pretty frontiersy - and somewhat sporadic with train travel being fairly relaible ... just limited in reach.

- What else? Maybe steal ideas from BitD & S&V for components and expansions?
